ScioTeq offers a small company feel while projecting a big company presence.  Our engineering work is very hands-on and collaborative as we design, prototype, test, and industrialize computing products for a variety of applications and customers.  We are expanding our engineering team and are looking for an experienced Engineering Logistics Support person who can join our team in Duluth, Georgia.   If you have strong organizational and administration abilities and the interpersonal skills needed to effectively collaborate and support our product development activities, then read on.

Engineering Logistics Support (ELS) Technical Support

ScioTeq Rugged Smart Display and Computer products are designed to provide high computing and video processing performance in extreme operating environments governed by MIL STD and EN military specifications.  Designed and manufactured by ScioTeq, these products are rarely sold as “off the shelf” products. Customers typically require customization for their specific applications and requirements.  This often requires creative problem solving, coordination with engineers, manufacturing operations and customer service.  The ELS Technical Support person has the following main responsibilities:

 

·       Create and maintain Bills of Material within a PLM system

·       Initiate new components within a PLM system and ensure their availability for prototyping

·       Provide logistical support throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring smooth coordination and readiness for product release within the ERP system.

·       Engineering Change Notice processing

·       Administer Engineering documentation control

·       Trade Compliance Jurisdiction Classification

·       Component purchasing for Engineering

 

 

 

Job requirements

Qualifications

·       Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent by experience

·       3+ years related experience within a product development and/or manufacturing environment

·       Have a strong administrative background with basic technical understanding of electronics

·       Experience with a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system preferred

·       Experience with Product Bills of Material and Engineering Change Notices preferred

·       Experienced with Microsoft Office and willing to learn new software tools

·       Must be self-motivated with strong work ethic, teachable, and collaborative

·       Must be a US Person
