We are seeking a dedicated Facility Coordinator to join our team.  As the Facility Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.  This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to the success of our organization.  

You will provide an attractive, clean, accessible, safe and well planned environment to help employees to work in optimal conditions, with regard to material and physical comfort, in line with the company goals of ScioTeq.

Cost effectiveness is one of the key objectives for the facility coordinator.

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of facility, including but not limited to the facility helpdesk (tasks, reporting, ...), general building maintenance, physical security, ...

  • Develop good professional relationships with the different stakeholders in the organization. Communication and negotiation are a crucial factor to success.

  • Project management: planning and follow up on the achievements within the project (including financial review).

  • Maintenance contracts: technical negotiation with the possible suppliers and assist procurement department in the financial negotiations.

  • Administration of the maintenance contracts to uphold the quality and functionality of our facilities.

  • Building and property management to maintain a safe, clean and efficient work environment. 

  • Space planning and footprint aligned with the company objectives to optimize resources.  

  • People management to oversee facility staff and ensure operational excellence.  

  • Reporting to the Director Operations. 

Job requirements

  • A technical master’s degree or equivalent by experience.

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in facility management is required.

  • Technical knowledge of the different building systems (e.g. HVAC, electricity, ...).

  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, basic communication skills in French are a plus.  

  • Experience in budget management and cost control.

  • Ability to coordinate with external contractors and project leaders.

  • Proven leadership and team management skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
