Key Account Manager Kongsberg (Nordics)

As a member of the international sales team, the Key Account Manager Kongsberg nurtures an existing customer relationship and sales funnel, spread over multiple business divisions of Kongsberg Gruppen A.S.

Main region of focus will be Norway.

Supported by product management, program management, customer service and sales administration teams, the Key Account Manager is responsible for successfully implementing the ScioTeq sales strategy while working closely with Kongsberg procurement, program and technical teams to further enhance the existing funnel, close on current opportunities and deepen the existing collaboration.

Primary Responsibilities

·       Further develop the account in line with the objectives set by the Senior Sales Director.

·       Maintain and enhance commercial contact with existing customer base and manage the entire sales cycle, including product presentations, quotations and contractual negotiations.

·       Establish sales action plans to achieve bookings and revenue targets.

·       Manage and communicate progress against set targets via accurate and timely reporting, including forecasting via CRM.

·       Assess competitive products, industry trends and identify market opportunities.

·       Understand and live by ScioTeq’s ethics and business conduct policies.

• You have a master’s degree in engineering or business (master’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or related field desirable) or equivalent by experience

• You have exceptional communication skills with the ability to deliver high-level presentations and communicate at C-Level within DoD/MoD and prime contractor base.

• You have at least 7 years of sales and marketing experience of multi-level selling in an international technical B2B environment.

• Military background or familiarity with the European defense landscape (military standards and specifications, government type contracts) is a definite plus.

• Proven track record of successful year-on-year business growth and demonstrated ability to close deals.

• Effective networking skills and capability to build strong customer relationships at all levels of organizational hierarchy.

• Comfortable with long sales cycles.

• Languages: proficiency in English is a minimum for this position. Obviously, proficiency in Norwegian and French is a definite plus.

• Ability to travel as required, up to 50% or more at given times.
