Job description
As talented NPI project manager, you are responsible for the management of NPI or R&D development projects. These are avionics products to be integrated in all types of airplanes, helicopters, and ground stations.
It is a process oriented multi-disciplinary development including electronics, software, firmware, mechanics and optics components respecting qualification, certification and safety.
You are ensuring the successful completion of the development and industrialization of the product developed within the agreed specifications, schedules, budgets and contractual requirements at all designated product life-cycle stage gates. The NPI Project Manager coordinates with all internal and external project stakeholders to ensure coordination of activities, alignment and effective communication.
Your responsibilities:
You manage NPI projects from kick-off till production readiness state to successful completion in terms of: product requirements/performance, scope, schedule, TRC cost, project cost, customer expectation, process, quality, risks and certification requirements.
You manage the balance between requirements, scope, cost, schedule and quality, including (development) process adherence.
You lead the assigned NPI project team during the execution of the project towards efficient and effective cooperation.
You define staffing and competence needs, coordinate between different functional team.
You manage subcontracted developments.
You define and execute the product launch plan.
You support required customer interaction securing customer satisfaction.
You follow up and communicate project status and KPI’s to all relevant stakeholders.
You write internal and external project reports.
You support proposal and bid activity if appropriate.
You report to the R&D director.
Job requirements
You hold a master’s degree in engineering (Hardware, Software and/or Firmware) with min. 10 years of experience in relevant technical discipline.
You have experience in project management for the development of complex products.
You have good communication and coordination skills in English.
You have the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
You have analytical thinking, methodical and problem-solving skills.
You navigate challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
You demonstrate accountability and are stress resistant.
