Job description

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with statutory and tax requirements, and supporting the overall financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organization.

As a trusted finance professional, you will contribute to monthly and year-end closing activities, prepare financial statements, support audits, and provide expertise in corporate tax, transfer pricing, and financial reporting.

As an Accountant, your responsibilities may include:

  • Recording and processing financial transactions, including invoices and journal entries.

  • Managing and contributing to the monthly and year-end closing process.

  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.

  • Preparing and supporting statutory, internal, and external audits, including general ledger reconciliations and documentation.

  • Preparing corporate income tax returns and ensuring compliance with related reporting requirements.

  • Preparing annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

  • Compiling and presenting Economic and Financial Information (EFI) to the Works Council.

  • Managing intercompany transfer pricing activities and supporting compliance initiatives.

  • Supporting due diligence projects and contributing to the development and improvement of finance policies and procedures.

  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality and environmental management standards.

Job requirements

  • A higher degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting.

  • Proven experience in preparing annual financial statements.

  • Solid understanding of Belgian accounting standards; knowledge of IFRS is considered an advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and corporate income tax requirements.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience working with an ERP system is a plus.
