Accounting Manager Belgium

As experienced Accounting Manager Belgium you join the finance department at ScioTeq Belgium in Kortrijk. You play a crucial role in managing and observing the accounting rules, regulations, policies and procedures. You ensure the monthly financial reporting of the Belgian entity is accurate and on-time. You manage an accounting team of 4 persons located at Kortrijk, Belgium.

• You organizes the monthly reporting processes of the Belgian entity to deliver accurate and on-time internal and external financial reporting.

• You manage an efficient and effective accounting organization, through centralization and specialization.

• You meet corporate and local financial reporting standards and ensures compliance with internal controls and local legal & tax requirements.

• You support cash generation through monitoring and optimizing working capital performance.

• You manage financial and tax audits and liaises with external contacts such as auditors, tax authorities and banks.

• You manage your loyal team.

• You report to the Group Accounting manager.

• Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Accounting.

• Experience in leading an accounting team.

• Knowledge of Belgian VAT and Corporate Tax rules.

• Advanced knowledge of accounting rules (BE GAAP, IFRS) (US GAAP is a plus)

• Proficiency in integrated corporate financial systems, reporting tools and database management systems (BAAN-ERP).

• Advanced Excel data skills.

• Ability to drive accountability for results within the organization.

• Very good people management and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Dutch.
